According to preliminary data, inflation in the EMU countries 1.9 per cent in June

Corrected on 17 July 2007. The inflation figure of the Finnish Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices for June 2007 has been corrected.

According to the preliminary data on the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices, the rate of inflation in the member states of the EMU was in June the same as in May, 1.9 per cent. The corresponding figure for Finland was 1.4per cent in June.

Eurostat's estimate on inflation in the EMU area is based on preliminary data compiled by the member states.

*The inflation figure of the Finnish Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices for May 2007 has been corrected. The correct inflation figure is 1.3 per cent.
