Statistics Finland postpones price increases of the Research Services
At the beginning of October, Statistics Finland notified that there would be increases to the prices of the Research Services starting from the beginning of 2025. We said then that the prices of the Research Services would be risen to cover the costs of producing the service.
The decision to review the prices of the Research Services will be postponed to spring 2025. The current price list will remain valid until the end of June. We are currently examining alternative ways to cover the costs of the Research Services. During the early part of the year and spring, we will arrange discussion events for researchers concerning possible new pricing alternatives. We estimate that the new pricing practices will come into force on 1 July 2025.
According to current information, the prices of user licences will also remain unchanged in 2025. The prices of user licences are determined in the decree concerning the charge criteria of the performances of Statistics Finland. The Ministry of Finance will make a decision on the decree by the end of the year.
