Finland prepared its first Biennial Transparency Report to the Paris Agreement

Finland has prepared its first Biennial Transparency Report concerning its climate actions and greenhouse gas emissions to the Paris Agreement. Finland's Biennial Transparency Report was submitted to the UNFCCC Secretariat on 19 December 2024.

Changes in statistics production are visible in the Statistical Programme

The Statistical Programme brings together the changes and reforms of Finland's statistics production for 2025 and the main long-term development measures. Over the next few years, the balancing of general government finances and the resulting savings targets will have an effect on the way statistics are compiled and to some extent on the supply of statistics as well.

Statistics on housing and construction are renewed

The statistics on housing and construction are renewed in 2025. Statistics Finland will establish a new set of statistics on building stock and new production, which will replace the statistics on buildings and free-time residences and the statistics on building and dwelling production, both of which will be discontinued.

Statistics Finland postpones price increases of the Research Services

At the beginning of October, Statistics Finland notified that there would be increases to the prices of the Research Services. The decision to review the prices of the Research Services will be postponed to spring 2025.
