The Statistical Programme brings together the changes and reforms of Finland's statistics production for 2025 and the main long-term development measures. Over the next few years, the balancing of general government finances and the resulting savings targets will have an effect on the way statistics are compiled and to some extent on the supply of statistics as well.

The statistics on housing and construction are renewed in 2025. Statistics Finland will establish a new set of statistics on building stock and new production, which will replace the statistics on buildings and free-time residences and the statistics on building and dwelling production, both of which will be discontinued.

The Statistical Yearbook of Finland 2024 provides an extensive overview of the statistics on Finland and Finnish society. The Yearbook contains long time series that give an overall picture of the development of our society right up to today.

At the beginning of October, Statistics Finland notified that there would be increases to the prices of the Research Services. The decision to review the prices of the Research Services will be postponed to spring 2025.

Statistics Finland will combine the statistics on wages and salaries into the structure of earnings statistics in 2025. The aim of the review is to clarify and simplify the statistics on wages and salaries and to improve the comparability of data. Previously, wage and salary data have been published in five different sets of statistics, but in future, all the data can be found in one set of statistics.
