Real estate maintenance costs rose by 10.1 % year-on-year

According to Statistics Finland, real estate maintenance costs rose by 10.1 per cent in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the corresponding period of 2021. Of the cost items of real estate maintenance, electricity costs grew most, by 31.3 per cent. Water supply and sewage costs grew by 3.3 per cent, repairs by 9.2 per cent, heating by 13.6 per cent, waste management by 6.0 per cent, administration by 3.8 per cent, use and maintenance by 2.9 per cent, and maintenance of outdoor areas by 3.7 per cent. Cleaning costs went up by 1.5 per cent and insurance against loss or damage by 11.1 per cent.
