Slightly fewer goods were transported by lorries in 2021 than in the previous year

According to Statistics Finland, lorries transported 255 million tonnes of goods in domestic transport in 2021, which was two per cent lower than in the year before. The transport performance, in turn, decreased by one per cent and amounted to 27.6 billion tonne-kilometres. The volume of transported goods has decreased evenly since 2018.
