According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, Finland's population was 5,561,309 at the end of October. Our country's population increased by 13,068 persons during January–October. The reason for the increase was migration gain from abroad, since immigration exceeded emigration by 24,872. The number of births was 13,410 lower than that of deaths.
