International trade in goods and services 2022, 1st quarter

Brisk growth in exports and imports of services in the first quarter of 2022

Service exports grew by 15 per cent in the first quarter of 2022 when compared with the corresponding quarter one year previously. Service imports grew by 24 per cent over the same period. In the first quarter of 2022, the value of service exports was EUR 6.8 billion and that of service imports EUR 8.3 billion. The data appear from Statistics Finland's statistics on international trade in goods and services, which are part of balance of payments.


Change

There was an exceptional revision in the data of international trade in services for the statistical reference years 2020 and 2021 in the release of 20 June 2022, because of the deficiency of the sampling frame of the inquiry on international trade in services and international flows of goods.
