Costs of civil engineering rose in December 2022 by 11.8 per cent from one year ago

According to Statistics Finland, the costs of civil engineering rose by 11.8 per cent from December 2021 to December 2022. The annual change in costs varied by sub-index from 14.2 per cent for rock structures to 5.2 per cent for concrete structures.

Line chart. The starting point of the index in 2015 is 100. The total index has risen fairly evenly throughout the time series. In the sub-index of surfacing, sharp rises and falls fluctuate, although in 2021 the rise has been stronger than before. Earth structures are developing steadily.
