Number of debtors in enforcement matters around 284,000 at the end of 2021

According to Statistics Finland's data, there were four per cent more debtors in enforcement matters at the end of 2021 than in the corresponding period one year earlier. At the end of 2021, the total number of debtors in enforcement matters was around 284,000 and their total debt in recovery proceedings was EUR 6.4 billion. During the whole of 2021, the total number of debtors in enforcement matters was 560,741, for 276,484 of whom the pendency of enforcement matters ended before the end of 2021.

Change

A new variable was added to the table on debtors in the statistics on enforcement matters, “Total debt in recovery proceedings, EUR billion”.
