Transport in domestic waterborne traffic increased by two per cent in September 2022

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0,5 million tonnes in September 2022. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic increased by two per cent compared to September 2021. In September 2022 domestic water transport took place almost only in coastal waterways.

Oil products were transported most, in total 271,712 tonnes, which was 59 per cent of all transport. The second most transported was timber, 63,570 tonnes.
