Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by five per cent in October 2022

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0,5 million tonnes in October 2022. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by five per cent compared to October 2021. In October 2022 domestic water transport took place only in coastal waterways.

Oil products were transported most, in total 295,267 tonnes, which was 61 per cent of all transport. The second most transported was timber, 59,666 tonnes.
