Cultural participation dropped during the pandemic in 2020 to 2021

According to Statistics Finland's data, attending cultural events has decreased from 2009. Attending cultural events had decreased among both men and women and in all age groups during the pandemic. The most popular form of culture was going to the cinema. Women attend cultural events more than men. Upper-level employees attend cultural events more than people in other socio-economic groups.
