According to Statistics Finland’s data, energy use in manufacturing increased by 3.6 % in 2021. Manufacturing consumed 515 petajoules (PJ) of energy, which, despite the growth, remained a couple of per cent below the pre-corona level. The growth in total use of electricity amounted to three per cent.
