Turnover in trade grew in September 2022

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the working day adjusted turnover in total trade grew by 10.0 per cent in September 2022 compared with September 2021. The volume of total trade sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, decreased by 3.5 per cent over the same period.

Working day adjusted turnover of retail trade grew in September by 5.3 per cent

The working day adjusted turnover of retail trade increased by 5.3 per cent in September from September 2021. The volume of retail trade sales decreased by 3.6 per cent over the same period. In daily consumer goods trade, the working day adjusted turnover increased by 6.2 per cent in September. The sales volume, however, decreased by 5.2 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous year.

Seasonally adjusted turnover grew compared to previous month

Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade increased by 0.8 per cent in September compared to August. Seasonally adjusted sales volume remained on level with the previous month. In August, seasonally adjusted turnover grew by 1.7 per cent and sales volume by 1.5 per cent compared to the month before.
