Road traffic accidents claimed 4 lives in February 2023
According to preliminary data of Statistics Finland, 166 accidents involving personal injury happened in road traffic in February 2023. In them, 4 persons were killed and 220 persons injured. The number of persons killed was six lower and that of persons injured 30 lower than in February 2022. The data were compared with the previous year's preliminary data.

A total of 329 road traffic accidents involving personal injury happened in January to February period of 2023. In them, 15 persons were killed and 424 persons injured. The number of persons killed was five lower and that of persons injured 72 lower than in the corresponding period of 2022. Of the persons who were killed, nine travelled by passenger car. Pedestrians killed numbered five and cyclists one.
