Producer prices of agricultural products rose by nearly 17 per cent in the first quarter of 2023

According to Statistics Finland, the producer prices of agricultural products rose by 16.9 per cent in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the year before. The prices of vegetable products went up by 5.8 per cent and those of meat and animal products by good 24.7 per cent. The rise in the producer prices of vegetables, potatoes, industrial crops and forage plants kept the index of vegetable products up even though the prices of grain fell.
