Turnover of construction industries growing compared to one year ago

Turnover in construction industries grew compared to the previous year. Working day adjusted turnover in building construction grew by 8.8 per cent and sales volume grew by 1.2 per cent compared to one year before. The turnover of civil engineering adjusted for working days grew by 9.1 per cent and sales volume decreased by 1.8 per cent from the previous year. One reason for the weaker development of sales volume compared to turnover is the higher than usual growth in the prices of civil engineering in December. Turnover in specialised construction activities grew by 8.6 per cent and sales volume grew by 0.9 per cent from one year earlier.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction grew by 1.8 per cent in December compared to November. Seasonally adjusted sales volume increased by 1.2 per cent in December from November.
