Turnover of construction grew by 3.8 per cent in January 2023 from one year ago

The volume of sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, decreased by 2.7 per cent. Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction and the sales volume decreased in January compared to December.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction decreased compared to December 2022
In January 2023 working day adjusted turnover in building construction decreased by 0.2 per cent and sales volume decreased by 7.1 per cent compared to one year before. The turnover of civil engineering adjusted for working days grew by 1.4 per cent and sales volume decreased by 10.9 per cent from the previous year. One reason for the weaker development of sales volume compared to turnover is the higher than usual growth in the prices of civil engineering in January. Turnover in specialised construction activities grew by 9.1 per cent and sales volume grew by 1.7 per cent from one year earlier.
Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction decreased by 0.6 per cent in January 2023 compared to December 2022. Seasonally adjusted sales volume decreased by 0.5 per cent in January 2023 from December 2022.
