Turnover of construction decreased by 4.1 per cent in July 2023 from one year ago
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, the working day adjusted turnover of construction enterprises decreased by 4.1 per cent in July 2023 compared to the previous year. The volume of sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, went down by 5.9 per cent. The decline in construction was most affected by the weak development of turnover and sales volume in building construction.

In July 2023, working day adjusted turnover in construction of buildings fell by 10.6 per cent and sales volume by 13.4 per cent compared to one year ago. In turn, working day adjusted turnover in civil engineering decreased by 1.0 per cent and sales volume by 2.3 per cent from the previous year. Turnover in specialised construction activities grew by 1.4 per cent but sales volume went down by 1.8 per cent from one year ago.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction decreased by 1.5 per cent in July 2023 compared to June. Seasonally adjusted sales volume decreased by 1.5 per cent from June.
