release | Real estate prices 2023, 2nd quarterAccording to Statistics Finland, prices of old one-dwelling houses fell by 9.2 per cent in the second quarter of 2023 from the previous year but rose by 0.6 per cent from the previous quarter. In April to June 2023, around 24 per cent fewer transactions of old one-dwelling houses were made than in the corresponding period one year earlier.

- Prices of old one-dwelling houses fell especially in municipalities with 60,000 to 100,000 inhabitants and in Eastern Finland. Prices fell less in the six largest towns.
- Prices of one-dwelling house plots decreased by 4.8 per cent in the whole country from the year before.
- Thirty-four per cent fewer transactions of one-dwelling house plots were made than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
- Around 32 per cent fewer transactions of old one-dwelling houses were made in municipalities with 20,000 to 59,999 inhabitants than in the corresponding period one year earlier.
- Prices of new one-dwelling houses rose by 4.5 per cent from the previous year but decreased by 0.1 per cent from the previous quarter.
