Gross tonnage of the regular Finnish merchant fleet increased in 2022

Transport and tourismAccording to Statistics Finland, the size of the Finnish registered merchant fleet was 1,243 vessels at the end of 2022. Vessels in the regular merchant fleet numbered 669. The number of vessels in the entire registered merchant fleet increased by eight vessels and the number of vessels in the regular merchant fleet remained unchanged compared to the end of 2021. The gross tonnage of the entire registered merchant fleet was 1,966,251, which is six per cent more than in 2021. The gross tonnage of the regular merchant fleet increased by seven per cent and was 1,855,572.
