Households’ indebtedness ratio continued falling in the second quarter of 2023

According to Statistics Finland, households’ financial assets grew by EUR 3.6 billion during the second quarter of 2023 and amounted to EUR 383.0 billion. In turn, households' debts decreased by EUR 2.2 billion and amounted to EUR 203.3 billion. As a result of these changes, households' net financial assets increased by EUR 5.8 billion. General government's net financial assets fell by a total of EUR 4.7 billion from the previous quarter. Net financial assets refer to the difference between financial assets and liabilities.
