Update of the research shares of university personnel raised universities' R&D in full-time equivalents by 1.1 per cent in 2021

The research shares of the personnel used in the statistics on research and development for the calculation of universities' R&D in full-time equivalents and expenditure were updated. According to Statistics Finland, universities' R&D in full-time equivalents rose by 1.1 per cent as a result of the updated research shares. An update was last carried out in 2017.
