Finland's regular merchant fleet increased in 2023

According to Statistics Finland, there were 1,259 vessels in the Finnish registered merchant fleet at the end of 2023, of which 682 belonged to the regular merchant fleet. The number of vessels and combined gross tonnage of both the entire registered merchant fleet and the regular merchant fleet increased compared to the situation at the end of 2022.

  • At the end of 2023, the gross tonnage of the entire Finnish registered merchant fleet had grown by five per cent and the number of vessels by 16 vessels compared to the situation at the end of 2022.
