Producer prices for manufactured products fell by 2.3 per cent in September 2024 year-on-year
According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for manufactured products fell by an average of 2.3 per cent from September 2023 to September 2024. The producer prices of manufactured products sold on the domestic market went down by 2.0 per cent, while the producer prices of export products fell by 2.7 per cent.

The fall in prices was curbed especially by the increase in prices of food products and pharmaceutical preparations.
The basic price index for domestic supply fell by 2.0 per cent and the basic price index for domestic supply including taxes went down by 0.4 per cent from a year ago.
From August to September, producer prices for manufactured products remained on average unchanged. Producer prices fell especially due to fallen prices of oil products, pulp, and chemicals and chemical products compared with the previous month. Producer prices went up especially by the increase in prices of electricity compared with the previous month.
