Rail freight traffic increased by 18 per cent in the third quarter of 2024
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, a total of 18,7 million trips was travelled by rail in the third quarter of 2024, which was 10 per cent less than in the same quarter last year. Freight transported by rail was 7,3 million tons, which was 18 per cent more than in the third quarter of 2023.
