Average debt of indebted household-dwelling units was EUR 94,000 in 2023
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, about half (51%) of Finnish household-dwelling units were in debt in 2023. The majority (70%) of the debt was housing debt. The average debt per indebted household-dwelling unit was EUR 94,000 in 2023. The average housing loans of household-dwelling units with housing loans amounted to EUR 114,800. The average debts decreased in both nominal and real euros.
