Altogether 1.94 million persons owned listed shares or mutual funds in 2023
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, 1.94 million persons owned mutual funds or listed shares at the end of 2023. Altogether 35.4 per cent of the household-dwelling population were owners. The number of owners grew by around 53,000 persons from 2022.

- The median value of the holdings of those owning of mutual funds, listed shares or both was EUR 5,770 at the end of 2023.
- Mutual funds were owned by 28.6 per cent of the dwelling population at the end of 2023. The share was almost the same for both men and women.
- In all, 16.6 per cent of the dwelling population owned listed shares at the end of 2023. The share was higher for men (20.0%) than for women (13.2%).
