Turnover of construction decreased by 6.8 per cent in November 2023 from one year ago ago
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, the working day adjusted turnover of construction enterprises decreased by 6.8 per cent in November 2023 compared to the previous year. The volume of sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, went down by 6.9 per cent. The decline in construction was most affected by the weak development of turnover and sales volume in building construction.

The turnover and sales volume of construction decreased in most industries
In November 2023, working day adjusted turnover in construction of buildings fell by 14.5 per cent and sales volume by 14.7 per cent compared to one year ago. In turn, working day adjusted turnover in civil engineering increased by 9.0 per cent and sales volume by 5.9 per cent from the previous year. Turnover in specialised construction activities went down by 4.2 per cent and sales volume by 4.4 per cent from one year ago.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction decreased by 0.5 per cent in November 2023 compared to October. Seasonally adjusted sales volume decreased by 0.4 per cent from October.
