Mortality fell in Finland in 2023

According to Statistics Finland, the number of deaths in 2023 was 61,339, which is 1,880 fewer than one year earlier. In 2023, provisional life expectancy at birth was 79 years for boys and 84.2 years for girls. Compared to 2022, life expectancy grew for boys by 0.33 years and for girls by 0.4 years.
