Turnover of construction decreased by 5.5 per cent in July 2024 from one year ago
According to Statistics Finland, the working day adjusted turnover of construction enterprises decreased by 5.5 per cent in July 2024 compared to the previous year. The volume of sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, went down by 3.1 per cent. The decline in construction was most affected by the weak development of turnover and sales volume in building construction.

Turnover in construction industries developed in two directions
In July 2024, working day adjusted turnover in construction of buildings fell by 9.7 per cent and sales volume by 6.9 per cent compared to one year ago. In turn, working day adjusted turnover in civil engineering increased by 6.3 per cent and sales volume by 3.7 per cent from the previous year. Turnover in specialised construction activities decreased by 6.1 per cent and sales volume went down by 3.1 per cent from one year ago.
Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction increased compared to June
Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction increased by 1.0 per cent in July 2024 compared to June. Seasonally adjusted sales volume increased by 0.8 per cent from June.
