Number of trips made by rail grew in the last quarter of 2024

According to Statistics Finland, 21.4 million trips were made in railway passenger transport in the last quarter of 2024, which is one per cent more than in the corresponding quarter of the year before. A total of 7.1 million tonnes of goods were transported in freight transport, which is as much as in the corresponding quarter of 2023.
