Number of trips made by rail increased by 8  per cent in the third quarter of 2025

According to Statistics Finland, 20.2 million trips were made in railway passenger transport in in the third quarter of 2025, which is 8 % more than in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. A total of 6.5 million tonnes of goods were transported in freight transport, which is 11 % less than in the corresponding quarter last year.
