Eighty per cent of children participated in early childhood education and care in 2024

According to Statistics Finland, 80 per cent of children aged 1 to 6 participated in early childhood education and care in 2024, altogether 235,200 children. Examined by age group, children aged five and four participated most, their participation share was over 90 per cent.
