Producer prices for manufactured products fell by 1.1 per cent in April 2025 year-on-year
According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for manufactured products fell by an average of 1.1 per cent from April 2024 to April 2025. The producer prices of manufactured products sold on the domestic market fell by 0.7 per cent, while the producer prices of export products went down by 1.3 per cent.

Producer prices for manufactured products went down by an average of 1.1 per cent from a year ago. The fall in the producer prices was particularly caused by lower prices of refined petroleum products and electricity compared with last year's April. The export price index went down by 1.4 per cent in a year. The fall in export prices was especially due to lower prices of refined petroleum products and other organic basic chemicals compared with last year’s April. The fall in export prices was curbed especially by the increase in prices of precious metals and wood, sawn and planed.
The import price index went down by 3.4 per cent in a year. The decrease in import prices was, in turn, especially caused by lower prices of crude petroleum and refined petroleum products compared with last year’s April. The fall in prices was curbed especially by the increase in prices of other chemical products n.e.c. and natural gas, liquefied or in gaseous state.
The basic price index for domestic supply fell by 1.8 per cent and the basic price index for domestic supply including taxes went down by 0.7 per cent from a year ago.
From March to April, producer prices for manufactured products went down by 0.7 per cent. The decrease in producer prices were particularly caused by the lower prices of refined petroleum products and electricity compared with the previous month. The fall in prices was curbed especially by the increase in prices of timber compared with the previous month.
