Number of domestic leisure trips grew by one quarter in November 2024

release | Finnish travel 2024, NovemberAccording to Statistics Finland, around 1.5 million domestic leisure trips with overnight stay were made in November 2024, which is one quarter more than a year earlier. The number of leisure trips abroad remained on the same level and was around 0.5 million in November 2024.

- The number of domestic leisure trips increased by one tenth in paid accommodation and by one third in free accommodation in November 2024.
- Domestic overnight stays with paid accommodation numbered 0.9 million and those with free accommodation 2.8 million.
- In addition to leisure trips abroad, the number of overnight stays related to trips also remained on level with the previous year and was around 3.1 million.
- Around 0.3 million domestic business trips with overnight stay were made, which is one fifth fewer than in November 2023.
