Number of domestic leisure trips decreased by one quarter in May 2025

According to Statistics Finland, around 1.5 million domestic leisure trips with overnight stay were made in May 2025, which is one quarter fewer than one year earlier. The decrease in the number of trips was mainly due to the lower number of trips with free accommodation. The number of leisure trips abroad fell by good one tenth and was around 0.5 million in May 2025.
