Road traffic accidents claimed 11 lives in March 2025
According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, 150 accidents involving personal injury happened in road traffic in March 2025. In them, 11 persons were killed and 192 persons injured. The number of fatalities was five higher and number of persons injured 16 higher than in March 2024. The data were compared with the previous year's preliminary data.

Road traffic accidents in January to March
According to preliminary data, there were a total of 403 road traffic accidents involving personal injury in the January to March period of 2025. In them, 31 persons were killed and 511 persons injured. The number of deaths was two lower and the number of persons injured 42 lower than in the corresponding period of 2024. Of the persons who were killed, 24 travelled by passenger car, two by van and one by lorry. Three pedestrians and one other road user were killed.
