Road traffic accidents claimed 11 lives in November 2025

Transport and tourismAccording to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, 242 accidents involving personal injury happened in road traffic in November 2025. In them, 11 persons were killed and 289 persons injured. The number of fatalities was seven lower and the number of persons injured 45 lower than in November 2024. The data were compared with the previous year's preliminary data.

Road traffic accidents in January to November
According to preliminary data, there were a total of 2,385 road traffic accidents involving personal injury in the January to November period of 2025. In them, 170 persons were killed and 2,856 persons injured. The number of deaths was 11 higher and the number of persons injured 287 lower than in the corresponding period of 2024. Of the persons who were killed, 93 travelled by passenger car, 10 by van, one by moped, 17 by motorcycle and two by lorry. Twenty pedestrians and two riders of a light electric vehicles were killed. Eighteen cyclists on a traditional bicycle and one cyclist on an electric bicycle were killed. In addition, six other road users were killed.
