Turnover in industry decreased by 1.4 per cent in February 2025
According to Statistics Finland, working day adjusted turnover in industry (TOL BCD) decreased by 1.4 per cent in February 2025 from February 2024.

Turnover decreased most in the electronic and electrical industry
Turnover decreased most in the electronic and electrical industry, by 16.5 per cent from twelve months earlier. Turnover in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply was 8.8 per cent lower and in the metal industry 8.5 per cent lower than one year earlier. Turnover grew in February most in the industry of mining and quarrying, by 13.7 per cent from one year ago. Turnover also grew in the food industry (6.3%), the chemical industry (4.9%) and the forest industry (2.7%).
Export turnover grew most in mining and quarrying
In February, growth in export turnover was strongest in the industry of mining and quarrying, up by 25.2 per cent from the previous year. Export turnover in the chemical industry was 12.2 per cent higher and in the forest industry 10.3 per cent higher than one year earlier. Export turnover in the electronic and electrical industry decreased most among the main industries, by 16.4 per cent from one year ago. In the metal industry, export turnover was 9.2 per cent lower than one year previously.
Domestic turnover decreased in February in several main industries. Domestic turnover decreased most in the forest industry (-20.3%) and in the electronic and electrical industry (-18.0%). Domestic turnover in the chemical industry was 8.0 per cent lower and in the metal industry 6.6 per cent lower than one year earlier.
Turnover grew in February from the month before
Seasonally adjusted turnover in industry grew by 1.8 per cent in February 2025 compared to January. Turnover decreased by 2.0 per cent in January and grew by 1.1 per cent in December from the month before.
