Prices of old one-dwelling houses decreased by 0.1 per cent year-on-year in April to June 2025

According to Statistics Finland, prices of old one-dwelling houses decreased by 0.1 per cent year-on-year in the whole country in April to June 2025. Compared with the previous quarter, prices increased by 5.1 per cent. 12.6 per cent more transactions of old one-dwelling houses were made than in the corresponding period one year earlier.

Correction

Errors have been detected in the data of the statistics on 27 March 2026. The data will be corrected as soon as possible. The erroneus data should not be used.

Key selections

  • Prices of old one-dwelling houses increased by 2.6 per cent in large towns in April to June 2025 compared with one year ago. Outside large towns, prices decreased by 0.9 per cent.
  • Prices of one-dwelling house plots decreased by 5.2 per cent in the whole country compared with a year ago.
  • Transactions of old one-dwelling houses increased in municipalities of all sizes. The increase was largest in municipalities with 60,000-100,000 inhabitants (19.6%).
  • 2.7 per cent fewer transactions of one-dwelling house plots were made than in the corresponding period one year earlier.
  • Prices of new one-dwelling houses went down by 0.9 per cent from a year ago and remained unchanged from the previous quarter.
