Prices of old one-dwelling houses decreased by 6.0 per cent year-on-year in January to March 2025

According to Statistics Finland, prices of old one-dwelling houses decreased in the whole country by 6.0 per cent year-on-year and by 5.0 per cent from the previous quarter in January to March 2025. 13.8 per cent more transactions of old one-dwelling houses were made than in the corresponding period one year earlier.

Key selections

  • Prices of old one-dwelling houses decreased by 2.9 per cent in large towns and by 7.0 per cent outside large towns in January to March 2025 compared with one year ago.
  • Prices of one-dwelling house plots decreased by 10.7 per cent in the whole country compared with a year ago.
  • Transactions of old one-dwelling houses increased in municipalities of all sizes. The increase was largest in municipalities with 20,000-59,999 inhabitants (21.6%).
  • 9.2 per cent more transactions of one-dwelling house plots were made than in the corresponding period one year earlier.
  • Prices of new one-dwelling houses went down by 1.7 per cent from a year ago and by 0.1 per cent from the previous quarter.
