Prices of old one-dwelling houses decreased by 3.4 per cent year-on-year in July to September 2025

According to Statistics Finland, prices of old one-dwelling houses decreased in the whole country by 3.4 per cent year-on-year and by 2.3 per cent from the previous quarter in July to September 2025. 4.9 per cent more transactions of old one-dwelling houses were made than in the corresponding period one year earlier.

Correction

Errors have been detected in the data of the statistics on 27 March 2026. The data will be corrected as soon as possible. The erroneus data should not be used.

Key selections

  • Prices of old one-dwelling houses decreased by 3.2 per cent in large towns and by 3.4 per cent outside large towns in July to September 2025 compared with one year ago.
  • Prices of one-dwelling house plots decreased by 10.7 per cent in the whole country compared with a year ago.
  • Transactions of old one-dwelling houses decreased in municipalities with 60,000-100,000 inhabitants, where the number of transactions was 6.0 per cent less compared to one year earlier. The number of transactions increased most in municipalities with 20,000-59,999 inhabitants (11.0%).
  • 3.9 per cent more transactions of one-dwelling house plots were made than in the corresponding period one year earlier.
  • Prices of new one-dwelling houses remained unchanged from a year ago but increased by 0.3 per cent from the previous quarter.
