Turnover in construction grew by 0.2 per cent in December 2024 from one year ago
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, the working day adjusted turnover of construction enterprises increased by 0.2 per cent in December 2024 compared to the previous year. The volume of sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, increased by 3.7 per cent.

Construction industries developed in two directions
Working day adjusted turnover in building construction fell by 4.1 per cent and sales volume by 0.2 per cent in December 2024 compared to one year before. In turn, working day adjusted turnover in civil engineering increased by 10.2 per cent and sales volume by 10.0 per cent from the previous year. Turnover in specialised construction activities went up by 0.3 per cent and sales volume by 4.4 per cent from one year earlier.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction increased compared to November
Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction increased by 1.2 per cent in December 2024 compared to November. Correspondingly, seasonally adjusted sales volume grew by 1.3 per cent from November.
