Gross domestic product decreased by 0.4 per cent in the second quarter of 2025

release | Quarterly national accounts 2025, 2nd quarterAccording to Statistics Finland, the volume of Finland’s gross domestic product decreased in April to June 2025 by 0.4 per cent from the previous quarter. Working day adjusted GDP remained on level with the quarter of one year before. According to preliminary data compiled by Eurostat, GDP in the EU area grew by 0.2 per cent in April to June 2025 from the previous quarter.

- Private consumption diminished by 1.3 per cent from January to March 2025.
- In April to June 2025, the volume of exports decreased by 0.2 per cent from the previous quarter. The volume of imports grew 2.5 per cent.
- Government consumption expenditure decreased by 1.0 per cent in the second quarter of 2025 from the level of the previous quarter.
- Private investments grew by 2.9 per cent in the second quarter of 2025 from the previous quarter. Public investments increased by 5.1 per cent.
