A total of 67 per cent of passers of the matriculation examination in spring 2024 were left outside education
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, there were 26,000 new completers of the matriculation examination in the spring term 2024. Seventy-seven per cent of new passers of the matriculation examination applied for further studies immediately, but only every third continued studies immediately. Twenty-one per cent of new passers of the matriculation examination continued in university education, 11 per cent at universities of applied sciences and one per cent in vocational education and training.
