Average annual change of producer price indices for services was 2.3 per cent in 2024

According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for services in total (BtoAll) increased by an average of 2.3 per cent from 2023 to 2024. Prices of services for other enterprises and for the public sector (BtoB) increased by 2.2 per cent and prices of services for households (BtoC) by 2.4 per cent.

  • From 2023 to 2024, the rise in producer price indices for services in total (BtoAll) was particularly caused by higher prices rental and operating services of own or leased real estate, human health services, and business and other management consulting services.
  • The increase in BtoAll prices was curbed especially by lower prices of sea and coastal passenger water transport services, and rental and leasing services of construction and civil engineering machinery and equipment compared to 2023.
  • The rise in BtoB prices was particularly caused by higher prices of business and other management consulting services, computer programming and consultancy, and rental and operating services of own or leased real estate compared to 2023.
  • The rise in BtoC prices was particularly caused by higher prices of food and beverage serving services, rental and operating services of own or leased real estate and human health services compared to 2023.
