Transport and tourismAccording to Statistics Finland, altogether 1.6 million passengers flew through Finnish airports in November 2025. The total number of passengers increased by three per cent compared to November 2024. The number of passengers on domestic flights decreased by three per cent and the number of passengers on international flights increased by four per cent from the previous year.

One fifth of air passengers travelled on domestic flights
In November 2025, a total of 1.3 million passengers flew through Helsinki Airport and altogether 300,000 passengers flew through other domestic airports. Compared to November 2024, the total number of passengers was two per cent higher at Helsinki Airport and seven per cent higher at other domestic airports.
Seventy-eight per cent of the air traffic passengers travelled on international flights and 22 per cent on domestic flights in November 2025. The share of passengers on international flights was 86 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 42 per cent in total at other domestic airports. Of all passengers, 97 per cent travelled on scheduled flights.
In November 2025, air freight and mail transport totalled 16,924 tonnes. In all, one hundred per cent of the tonnes were transported through Helsinki Airport and in traffic between Finland and foreign countries. Altogether 7,340 tonnes (43 %) of the transported volume of goods were incoming and 9,584 tonnes (57 %) were outgoing.
In January to November 2025, a total of 18.5 million passengers flew through Finnish airports, which was four per cent more than in 2024 during the same period. From the beginning of 2025 the volume of freight and mail transport totalled 167,675 tonnes, which was two per cent less than in January to November 2024.
