According to Statistics Finland's data, direct business subsidies paid amounted to EUR 908 million and those granted to EUR 1,102 million in 2024. Granted loans totalled EUR 295 million and guarantees EUR 2,893 million. Business subsidies were received by altogether 14,624 enterprises.

Key selections

  • Direct business subsidies paid to the region of Uusimaa amounted to EUR 383 million and those paid to South Karelia amounted to EUR nine million in 2024.
  • More than one-half of direct business subsidies were paid to large enterprises in 2024.
  • Most loans were granted to the industry of information and communication (EUR 72 million) in 2024.
