Life expectancies record high in Finland in 2024

According to Statistics Finland, the number of deaths in 2024 was 58,267, which is 3,072 fewer than one year earlier. In 2024, provisional life expectancy at birth was 79,6 years for boys and 84.8 years for girls. Compared to 2023, life expectancy grew for boys by 0.7 years and for girls by 0.6 years.
